Welcome to the Chestnut Tree Cafe

Books and coffee (or any hot drink for that matter!) are a match made in heaven.

Our cafe gives you the option to linger and browse books while enjoying an ethically sourced coffee or hot chocolate and locally made pastry.

It’s the perfect place to meet a friend, where children can be occupied reading books in their dedicated child friendly lounge.

We’re here for the early risers and the afternoon ramblers and we’re proud to support our local coffee roaster, baker, and hot chocolate supplier!

Our coffee beans are roasted by Rumble Coffee Roasters – based in a bonafide brick warehouse conversion in Melbourne’ West (Kensington)

Rumble Coffee is committed to the Transparency project. You can learn more about it here!

Inspired by Melbourne’s coffee culture – which is considered by many to be the best in the world – it is Mörk’s mission to bring specialty hot chocolate onto the scene.

In 2012, Mörk created the first hot chocolate blend using the same approach taken by specialty coffee-makers; with respect for the traceability, quality and unique origin of ingredients all the way from bean to cup. That’s what makes Mörk different from the drinking chocolate you find in supermarkets today.

Since then, the Mörk team has bloomed – and so has their range. Pop into or café to try a delicious Mörk hot chocolate.
